Forrest
We are in need of a foster or foster-to-adopt for Forrest. He was adopted late last year by a family in central CO and he hasn't been getting along with the smaller dog in the home. Forrest loves the two large breed dogs though and they play and play!
Forrest is 3 years old, 25 lbs, current on vaccines and is neutered.
He did fracture his front leg last March and the sprint caused his to have an ulcerated sore on his foot. With all of the healing going on and the stress of not being able to be as active as he likes, he bit his adopter in May while sitting on the couch. The dog behaviorist and his veterinarian all agree that this incident was pain related. He hasn't had an issue since but we do want our fosters and adopters to have as much information as possible in order to make an informed decision when bringing a new dog into the home. For this reason we don't recommend a home with kids 10 and younger. Forrest likes to be active but tends to like his home life to be calm.
Forrest was able to visit his vet earlier this month and got a clean bill of health. His leg and food are completely healed. His foster home will need to have a securely fenced yard as he is back to running around his adopters fenced acreage with the two larger dogs.
If you are in CO or WY or where we are able to arrange volunteer transport for Forrest, please fill free to submit a foster application linked above.
